LNG PIPELINE - MILFORD HAVEN TO ABERDULAIS

Quantum GB was first appointed to the LNG project on the 13^th September 2004 on the section between Milford Haven and Aberdulais to carry out all Ground Investigation. Quantum has since treated mine workings by drilling and grouting in a number of areas and is currently undertaking the annulus grouting to twelve tunnels.

The annulus grouting entails the injection of foam concrete around the product pipe. The preparatory works include the installation of injection pipes throughout the tunnel, and following installation of the 1200mm steel pipe within the tunnel, the sealing of the ends of the tunnel by means of grout bags.

Quantum have invested in the foam mixing and pumping equipment to ensure the prompt and quality service for the main contractor, Nacap Land and Marine JV.
